Runaway Apprentice

Mr. DeVore had no interest in finding his apprentice. I wonder how far Alonzo ran? Nicholas Devore came to Illinois from Kentucky. In Champaign he had a distillery where he made corn whiskey. Devore died in Saybrook, IL in 1853. Alonzo was noted as a member of DeVore's household in 1850 and was 13 years old.
