Pictured here is Deputy Johnson Clagett of the McLean County Sheriff's Office in 1931. He is holding the "latest" model of the Thompson sub machine gun, which held 50 rounds of ammunition. He is sitting in front of the county arsenal. I wonder what they needed this much fire power for??
