The Teachers of Founders' Grove
Teaching was one of the first professions followed by women, and Normal was the site of one of the first places of higher education in Illinois. It naturally follows that many of the teachers in Founders' Grove were graduates of the Illinois State Normal School. The pictures here are from the digital collection of Illinois State University's Milner Library.
