While the Irvin was tempting the public with their brand new theatre, other theatres had to step up their games to bring in the public. On August 26 1915 the Majestic put on a vaudeville review which featured for one the voice of Gus Reed. His voice was preserved on an Edison Amberol 20 in 1908 and has been posted as a Youtube video:
